The Hillshire Brands Company is recalling approximately 58,000,000 pounds of corn dog and sausage on a stick products due to potential contamination with extraneous material, specifically wood pieces. These products were distributed nationwide to retail in the United States, food service locations, school districts, and Department of Defense facilities.

The recalled items:
- Were packaged between March 17, 2025, and September 26, 2025
- Bear establishment numbers “EST-582” or “P-894.”
- They were sold under various brand names
- Include specific lot numbers and UPC codes.

The issue was identified following multiple consumer complaints, including five reports of injuries. The recall was initiated on September 27, 2025, and is classified as a Class I recall. FSIS is monitoring the recall process to ensure effectiveness.
