Dole FRESH Takes CLASSIC CHICKEN CAESAR SALAD- recalled due to undeclared Allergens

The FSIS announced the recall of approximately 717 pounds of ready-to-eat (RTE) Chicken Caesar Salad products by Safeway Fresh Food, LLC due to misbranding and undeclared allergens, it contains anchovies, egg and wheat, known allergens, which are not declared on the product label. This product was shipped to distributors in Maryland and Virginia and then further distributed to retailers in Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and Virginia.

The recalled product is:

- 13.6-oz. plastic bowl containing “Dole FRESH Takes CLASSIC CHICKEN CAESAR SALAD” with a use-by date of 05/05/2022 and lot code S109000 1, located at the top of the front label. It was produced on April 19, 2022.

There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to the consumption of this product. FSIS is concerned that some product may in consumers’ refrigerators. If you have an allergy to anchovies, eggs and/or wheat do not eat it, it may cause a serious or life-threatening reaction. Please throw it away or return it to the place of purchase.
