Eclipse Coffee Roasters Elevate Snapchill recalled due to clostridium botulinum

Eclipse Coffee Roasters has issued a recall for its Elevate Snapchill Coffee due to potential microbial contamination by Clostridium botulinum. The product was distributed in Alberta.Food contaminated with Clostridium botulinum toxin may not look or smell spoiled but can still make you sick. Symptoms of foodborne botulism in children can include difficulty swallowing, slurred speech, generalized weakness and paralysis. In all cases, botulism does not cause a fever. In severe cases of illness, people may die.
The recall was announced on June 28, 2024, and affects Elevate Snapchill Coffee 354 mL size of the product, with UPC 7 86899 57461 6 and code 13245 EXP 07/07/24.
The product is being recalled from the marketplace as it may permit the growth of Clostridium botulinum. Consumers are advised not to consume, use, sell, serve, or distribute the recalled products. If anyone believes they have become sick from consuming the product, they should contact their healthcare provider.
