New Zealand Sugar Company has issued a recall for its Equal brand European Dark Chocolate due to an undeclared allergen, milk. The product is sold at supermarkets throughout New Zealand.The product recalled is the 85g Equal brand European Dark Chocolate, batch marking J24096M1, with a best before date of October 2025. The product is sold in a plastic package and is imported from Portugal.
Customers are asked to check the batch and date mark on the product. Customers with a milk allergy or intolerance should return the product to their retailer for a full refund.
