Fumoir Musquaro Smoked Salmon - Alert not to consume due to unsafe packaging

Quebec's Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, in collaboration with Hébergement Copaco Anticosti Inc. (Fumoir Musquaro), has issued a warning against consuming a specific smoked salmon product due to improper preparation and packaging that could lead to bacterial contamination. Sold by Fumoir Musquaro located at 3 Rue du Copaco, Port-Menier, QC, Canada and also sold by the establishments located at 1835, boulevard Laure, in Sept-Îles, and at 6, rue des Olympiades, in L’Île-d’Anticosti. The recall was initiated by the operator as a precautionary measure after the potential for bacterial contamination was discovered. The product could potentially harbor the bacteria Clostridium botulinum. As of now, no cases of illness associated with the consumption of this product have been reported.The product in question is

The product is packaged in a glass jar with a metal lid and sold refrigerated, with a label reading “Fumoir Musquaro” affixed to the top of the lid.
Do not consume it and return it to the store where it was purchased.
