Nutricia North America has initiated a voluntary recall of two meal replacement products due to subpotent levels of Vitamin A. The affected products were distributed across multiple states in the United States (AK, AL, AR, AZ, CA, CO, CT, Washington DC, DE, FL, GA, HI, IA, ID, IL, IN, KS, KY, LA, MA, MD, ME, MI, MN, MO, MS, MT, NC, ND, NE, NH, NJ, NM, NV, OH, OK, OR, PA, RI, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VA, VT, WA, WI, WV). The product was also shipped to Canada & Australia.

The issue was discovered when the testing laboratory used an incorrect method for Vitamin A testing, leading to inaccurate results. The test results gave a higher concentration of vitamin A than what is actually in the product. The recall, classified as Class II, was initiated by the firm on May 26, 2026, with the classification date on July 13, 2026.
