Ghiotti Mozzarella Cheese Recalled due to the incorrect use by date

Granarolo New Zealand Ltd has issued a recall for a specific batch of its Various Ghiotti brand Mozzarella Cheese due to incorrect Use By dates on the labels. The correct Use By date for these products is 17/07/24. The affected product is sold at selected Fresh Choice, Gilmours, New World, Pak’n Save, and Woolworths stores throughout New Zealand.The affected products include:
- Ghiotti brand Mozzarella Buffalo (125g)
- Ghiotti brand Mozzarella Buffalo (200g)
- Ghiotti brand Mozzarella Cherry (200g)
- Ghiotti brand Mozzarella Fior Di Latte (100g)
- Ghiotti brand Mozzarella Fior Di Latte (200g)
The product is sold in plastic tubs with various weights depending on the product. Use By: 17/07/25. The product is imported from Italy.
Customers are advised to check the date marking on the bottom of the product tub. If you have purchased these products, do not consume them. If you have consumed these products past the correct Use By date and have any health concerns, seek medical advice.
