Gluten Freedom bread products - recalled due to plastic matter contamination

Venerdi Limited is recalling specific batches of its Gluten Freedom bread products due to potential plastic contamination. The affected products are sold in supermarkets and retail outlets throughout New Zealand and have been exported to Australia. There have been no reports of associated injury.

The recalled products include:
- Gluten Freedom brand Broken Black Rice & Polenta Sourdough (550g) with best before dates from 19-12-2023 to 11-03-2024.
- Gluten Freedom brand Splendid Sourdough English Muffins (280g) with best before dates from 20-12-2023 to 05-03-2024.
- Gluten Freedom brand Everything Sourdough Bagels (400g) with best before dates from 25-12-2023 to 04-03-2024.
All products are sold in plastic packaging of various weights.

Customers are advised to check the best before date printed on the packaging. Affected products should not be consumed. Customers should return the products to their retailer for a full refund.
