Gourmet Végétarien Roasted Garlic Hummus - Alert due to Listeria

The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (MAPAQ), in collaboration with the Food Inspection Division of the City of Montreal and the company Gourmet Végé, located at 556, avenue Meloche, in Dorval, warns the public not to consume Gourmet Végétarien Roasted Garlic Hummus because it is likely to contain the bacterium Listeria monocytogenes. This product has been offered for sale in several establishments in the province of Quebec.The recalled product is:
- Roasted Garlic Hummus, 240g, Lot 050502, Expiry date: 24JN22. It was packaged in clear plastic containers and sold chilled. The product label bears, in addition to its name, the mention "Gourmet Végétarien".
No case of illness associated with the consumption of this food has been reported to MAPAQ to date.
If you have the recalled product in your home, please do not eat it, throw it away.
If symptoms persist, seek medical care.
