HANOVER SOUP CLASSICS Chicken Pot Pie - recalled due to Allergen

The FSIS announced the recall of approximately 15,728 pounds of canned ready-to-eat (RTE) chicken pot pie soup products by Aunt Kitty's Foods Inc. due to misbranding and undeclared allergens. It contains soy, a known allergen, which is not declared on the product label. This product was shipped to retail locations in Maryland, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, and Virginia. There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of this product.The recalled product is:
- 15-oz. metal cans containing "HANOVER SOUP CLASSICS Chicken Pot Pie" with lot code P864 4893 23241950 and "BEST BY SEP 2026" both printed on top of the can.
The affected product was produced on August 28, 2023, and bears the establishment number "P-864" inside the USDA mark of inspection.
The problem was discovered when the establishment notified FSIS that they conducted an inventory review and realized they used chicken with soy, which was not declared on the label.
FSIS is concerned that some product may be in consumers' pantries. Consumers who have purchased these products are urged not to consume them.
