Ken’s Raw Jersey Milk recalled due to contamination with STEC

7 months ago source food.gov.uk

Northern Ireland, United Kingdom

Kenneth Hanna’s Farm Shop is recalling Ken’s Raw Jersey Milk because of possible contamination of the product with Shiga-toxin producing E. coli (STEC). This recall applies to customers in Northern Ireland only.

Product details
- Product Name: Ken’s Raw Jersey Milk
- Pack size: 2 litres
- Batch code: All batch codes
- Use by: All use-by dates

If you have bought the above product, do not drink it or use it to make dairy products. Instead, return it to the place of purchase
.
Symptoms caused by STEC organisms include severe diarrhoea (including bloody diarrhoea), abdominal pain, and sometimes haemolytic uremic syndrome (HUS), a serious condition that can lead to kidney failure and can be fatal.

If you are experiencing symptoms after eating this product, it is important to report it. It can help to detect & resolve outbreaks early and prevent others from being harmed, and it enables better surveillance. If symptoms persist, seek medical attention.
