Lady Jambalaya Homemade jambalaya and gumbo products - recalled due to produced without benefit of inspection

3 years ago source fsis.usda.gov

United States

The FSIS announced the recall of 18,418 pounds of frozen, fully cooked jambalaya and gumbo products that were produced without the benefit of federal inspection. These products were shipped to retail locations in Arkansas, Louisiana, and Texas. There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of these products.

The recalled products are:
- 32-oz. Plastic containers of “Lady Jambalaya Homemade Jambalaya.”
- 32-oz. Plastic containers of “Lady Jambalaya Homemade Gumbo.”

The products were produced beginning in September 2021, have various sell by dates, and do not bear the USDA mark of inspection because Wild Cajun Meals, LLC is not a federally inspected establishment.

FSIS is concerned that some products may be in consumers’ freezers. Consumers who have purchased these products are urged not to consume them. These products should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase.

If you are experiencing symptoms after eating the affected products it is important to report it. It can help to detect & resolve outbreaks early and prevent others from being harmed, and it enables better surveillance. If symptoms persist seek medical attention.
