Leprino Foods has initiated a voluntary recall of its LMPS 1.5" Bulk Mozzarella due to potential contamination with stainless steel pieces. The affected product was distributed to Ohio, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, and Wisconsin in the United States.AFFECTED PRODUCT:
- LMPS 1.5" Bulk Mozzarella
- Is packaged in 11" x 14" x 1.5" slabs
- Approximately 10 lbs. each
- With a total of about 5,453,442 lbs. affected.
- It is identified by Product Code 100003207
- Was produced on multiple dates in September 2025.
- The product requires refrigeration at 34-40°F.
- Expiration date is not shown on the wholesale product label.
The issue was discovered internally, leading to a Class II recall initiated on October 2, 2025, with classification confirmed on October 22, 2025. The recall is ongoing, and no press release has been issued.
