Recall notice

Lucky Me! Pancit Canton Original Flavour - recalled due to unauthorized pesticide

3 years ago source fsai.ie

Ireland

The FSAI announced the recall of Lucky Me! Instant Pancit Canton Noodles Original Flavour due to the presence of the unauthorized pesticide ethylene oxide. This pesticide is not authorized for use in foods sold in the EU.

The recalled product is:
- Lucky Me! Instant Pancit Canton Noodles Original Flavour; pack size: 60g, Best before date: 20/07/2022, Country Of Origin: Thailand

Although the consumption of the contaminated product does not pose an acute risk to health, there may be health issues if there is continued consumption of ethylene oxide over a long period of time. Therefore, exposure to this substance needs to be minimized. Point-of-sale recall notices will be displayed in stores supplied with the implicated batch.

If you are experiencing symptoms after eating the product it is important to report it. It can help to detect & resolve outbreaks early and prevent others from being harmed, and it enables better surveillance. If symptoms persist seek medical attention.
