Update November 25th, 2025:The FDA has updated the recall classification to Class II.
Additionally, the reason for recall has been reaffirmed as: Wheat and soy allergens missing from the product’s “Contains” statement.

November 12th, 2025:
Hana Group has initiated a voluntary recall of its Mai California Roll WR due to undeclared wheat and soy allergens. The product was distributed to retail kiosks in Florida, Virginia, Illinois, Nebraska, Minnesota, Indiana, Louisiana, and Oklahoma.
The recalled product is:
- The Mai California Roll WR
- Packaged in a 5.9 oz (167g) plastic tray with a plastic lid
- Bearing the UPC code 840031402639.
- The affected batches are
Handcrafted daily on 10/30/2025, with a best-by date of 10/31/2025
Handcrafted daily on 10/31/2025, with a best-by date of 11/01/2025.
- A total of 373 packages are involved in this recall.
The issue was discovered through internal review, and the recall was initiated on October 31, 2025. The recall is currently ongoing and has not yet been classified.
