Meta Enoki Mushroom recalled due to listeria monocytogenes

Meta has issued a recall for its Enoki Mushroom product due to a potential contamination with Listeria monocytogenes. The product has been distributed in Ontario and possibly other provinces and territories.The recalled product is the Meta brand Enoki Mushroom, packaged in 200g sizes. The product carries the UPC code 6 957937 482116 and the batch code TH2408 SN: 695102.
Food contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes may not look or smell spoiled but can still make you sick. Pregnant women, the elderly and people with weakened immune systems are particularly at risk. Although infected pregnant women may experience only mild, flu-like symptoms, the infection can lead to premature delivery, infection of the newborn or even stillbirth. In severe cases of illness, people may die.
The recall was initiated following test results from the Canadian Food Inspection Agency. The Canadian Food Inspection Agency is currently conducting a food safety investigation, which may lead to further recalls.

Do not consume, serve, use, sell, or distribute recalled products.
Recalled products should be returned to the location where they were purchased.
