MG Foods Recalls Jumbo Meat Ball Sub Due to Possible Metal Contamination

MG Foods, Inc. has initiated a voluntary recall of its Jumbo Meatball Sub due to the mozzarella cheese ingredient used in the product may be contaminated with metal shavings. The product was distributed in Texas and Louisiana in the United States.

The recalled product is:
- An 8.9-ounce Jumbo Meatball Sub
- Packaged in clear plastic with a white sticker label.
- It includes product codes with Fresh Thru dates of 10-15-25, 10/16/2025, and 10/20/2025.
- A total of 117 units are affected by this recall.

The issue was discovered internally by the company, and the recall was initiated on October 4, 2025. It has been classified as a Class II recall by the relevant authorities on October 17, 2025. The recall is currently ongoing.
