Nongshim Shin Kimchi Instant Noodle Soup due to the Presence of the Unauthorised Pesticide Ethylene Oxide

The FSAI announced the recall of specific batches of a specific batch of Nongshim Shin Kimchi instant noodle soup due to the presence of the unauthorised pesticide ethylene oxide. This pesticide is not authorised for use in foods sold in the EU.Although the consumption of the contaminated product is unlikely to pose an immediate risk to health,there may be health issues if there is continued consumption of ethylene oxide over a long period of time. Therefore, exposure to this substance needs to be minimised.
The recalled product is:
- Nongshim Shin Kimchi instant noodle soup (120g). Batch Code: Best before date: 19/05/2022. Country of Origin: Republic of Korea.
