Our Family White Hot Dog Enriched Buns - recalled due to undeclared Allergen

Perfection Bakeries D/B/A Aunt Millie’s of Fort Wayne, IN. is recalling 8 ct. packages of Our Family® White Hot Dog Buns because they may contain undeclared sesame. People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to sesame run the risk of serious or life- threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products. The recalled product was distributed in retail stores in Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, and Illinois. 1 reaction has been reported to date in connection with this recall.

The product comes in a printed plastic package marked with “Our Family Hot Dog Buns 8 ct.” on the top and has a blue twist tie. The product UPC is 0-70253-75107-3, and include Best By Dates 4-9-2023 and earlier.

The recall was initiated after it was discovered the sesame-containing product was distributed in packaging that did not reveal the presence of sesame. Production of the product has been suspended until the FDA and Aunt Millie’s complete their investigation and are certain the market has been cleared of any incorrect packaging.

Consumers who have purchased "Our Family Hot Dog Buns 8 ct." are urged to return them to the place of purchase for a full refund.

People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to wheat or soy run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume this product. No more than 1,440 cartons of the ice cream in question were distributed only in Safeway grocery stores and only in the state of Washington and parts of northern Idaho.

The product in question is packaged with a Tillamook Chocolate Peanut Butter carton sidewall but with a Tillamook Waffle Cone Swirl lid. The affected lot codes TL-41-80 and BB041324 (which means best-by date of 04/13/2024) are printed on the bottom of the carton.

Tillamook became aware of the mislabeling issue when a consumer notified the company that Waffle Cone Swirl ice cream was found inside the Chocolate Peanut Butter ice cream carton. No illnesses or adverse reactions have been reported to date.

Customers with a wheat or soy allergy or sensitivity who have purchased the affected product are urged not to consume the product and dispose of it or return it to their place of purchase for a full refund. This recall is being made with the knowledge of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
