Pepperoni Pizza recalled due to Imported Without the Benefit of Import Reinspection

Trader Joe's has issued a public health alert for its frozen uncured pepperoni pizza imported from Italy, due to the absence of required import reinspection. The product was distributed to retail locations in California in USA.The affected product is:
- A 17.63-oz. cardboard box packages
- Labeled "TRADER JOE’S UNCURED PEPPERONI PIZZA PRODUCT OF ITALY"
- With “MFG LOT: 06/16/25 BEST BY: 08/16/26” or “MFG LOT: 06/21/25 BEST BY 08/21/26”
- The MFG LOT is printed on the bottom of the package.
- The Italy establishment number is "IT 1558 L UE."
- The establishment number was printed inside the Italian mark of inspection located on the front of the package.
The issue was identified when Trader Joe's notified the FSIS about the lack of import reinspection. The alert was issued on August 29, 2025.
