Ready-To-Eat Breakfast Burrito and Wrap Products recalled due to Listeria Contamination

M.C.I. Foods Inc., based in Santa Fe Springs, California, is recalling approximately 91,585 pounds of ready-to-eat breakfast burrito and wrap products due to potential Listeria monocytogenes contamination. These products were distributed to foodservice institutions nationwide in the United States, including those participating in the National School Lunch and Breakfast Programs.The recalled products include Los Cabos, El Más Fino, and Midamar brand frozen breakfast burritos and wraps, produced between September 17, 2025, and October 14, 2025. They bear the establishment numbers “EST. 1162A” or “P-5890A” inside the USDA mark of inspection.
The issue was identified when M.C.I. Foods Inc. reported a positive Listeria result in the scrambled egg component during routine testing. The recall was initiated on October 18, 2025.
