6 months ago source fsis.usda.gov

United States

Ada Valley Meat Company, based in Ada, Michigan, is recalling approximately 1,065 pounds of fully cooked frozen ground beef due to possible metal contamination. The affected products were distributed to establishments and distributors in California, Delaware, Illinois, Michigan, and Pennsylvania in the United States.

The recall involves:
- "Ada Valley FULLY COOKED GROUND BEEF"
- 20-lb. cardboard box cases containing four 5-lb. plastic bags
- With pack dates of May 28, 2025, and May 30, 2025
- Lot codes 35156 and 35157.
- The products bear the establishment number "EST. 10031" inside the USDA mark of inspection.

The issue was identified following a consumer complaint about metal pieces found in the product. The recall was initiated on July 29, 2025, and is classified as a Class II recall by the USDA's Food Safety and Inspection Service.

If you or a loved one are harmed or experiencing any symptoms, it is important to report it. Reporting can help to detect & resolve outbreaks early and prevent others from being harmed, and enables better surveillance. If symptoms persist, seek medical care.
