Recall notice

Ready to Eat Salad containing Meat and Poultry – recalled due to Misbranding

4 years ago source fsis.usda.gov

United States

The FSIS announced the recall of approximately 222,915 pounds of ready-to-eat (RTE) salad products with meat and poultry by Ready Pac Foods, Inc because the products contain FDA regulated salad dressing that has been recalled by the producer, Litehouse Inc., due to misbranding and an undeclared allergen (anchovies). These items were shipped to retail and DOD locations nationwide.

The assembled ready-to-eat salads containing meat and poultry products were produced from Aug. 27, 2021, through Sept. 19, 2021.

There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to the consumption of these products.

FSIS is concerned that some products may be in consumers’ refrigerators. If you have the recalled products in your home, please do not eat them, throw them away, or return them to the place of purchase.

In case you are experiencing food poisoning symptoms, it is important to report it. It can help to detect & resolve outbreaks early and prevent others from being harmed, and it enables better surveillance.

For more information, including the list of the recalled products, please check on FSIS website: www.fsis.usda.gov/recalls-alerts/ready-pac-foods-inc.-recalls-ready-eat-salad-products-containing-meat-and-poultry
