It is possible to get food poisoning from products purchased at Kroger supermarkets. Diarrhea and nausea are the most commonly reported symptoms. Norovirus is the most commonly reported diagnosis and it is easily passed when contact is made with an infected person or contaminated food.

“Bought their brand chicken noodle soup and broccoli and cheddar. The coven noodle tasted "earthy" and raised it was a month past expiration. Ate the broccoli and cheddar for lunch last night (night shift RN) and had horrible cramps and vomiting that I bag to call off work for tonight. The date was... June 11th with it saying it was good until June 13th. Only thing I ate the entire day. ”

“I bought fried chicken from. the deli. I ate 2 legs as soon as I brought it home- it didn't sit out. About an hour later I got severe cramps, intense nausea, followed by an entire night of vomiting repeatedly as well as diarrhea, cold sweats and chills. ”

“I ate some Black grapes about 12:30 June 9th, 2021. Some of them tasted really odd. I ate a few more that didn't. Probably about 8-9 grapes. Within seconds I got Nausea..it kept getting worse. I knew I was going to throw up.
First time was all the grape skins..etc. come back to my couch. Started a... gain even worse. It was Horrifying.
I Was Vomiting so much..there was nothing left in my stomach. I was Dry Heeven really bad. I'm not sure if it was the Black grapes. I didn't eat nothing else. To cause it. I kept the grapes just in case I got worse. And needed proof of what I ate. ”

Recall details: The Kroger Co. is voluntarily recalling its Chicken Street Taco Kit due to a recall issued by its supplier Reser’s... Fine Foods. These bulk kits have Chipotle Crema Sauce, which contains egg that was not declared on the label. Consumers who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to eggs run the risk of a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products.
The voluntary recall includes the Chicken Street Taco Kits, which were sold in deli cases in black plastic trays with clear plastic lids (see picture below) with the UPC 41573-71252 and only product purchased before May 25, 2021. All affected products were pulled from our deli cases on May 22, 2021, and relaunched on May 27, 2021, with the correct labels.
The products were distributed by Kroger grocery stores under a variety of banner names in these states: Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin and Wyoming.
To date, there have been no reports of illness or complaints involving the product addressed in this recall. Customers with an egg allergy or sensitivity who have purchased the affected product are urged not to consume it and dispose of it or return it to their local store for a full refund.
