Update Ocotber 24th, 20255:The recall was classified as Class II and also, Sprout Organics has expanded its earlier recall of Sprout Organics® Sweet Potato Apple and Spinach pouches to include three additional lots (4213, 4282, and 4210) due to potentially elevated lead levels. The affected 3.5 oz pouches were distributed through Walgreens, independent retailers in multiple U.S. states, and online.

Sprout Organics is expanding its September 16, 2025 recall of Sprout Organics® Sweet Potato Apple and Spinach, due to potentially elevated lead levels, to include additional lots. Exposure to lead. The product, a 3.5-ounce pouch, was sold in Walgreens; in independent retailers in AZ, CO, FL, ID, IL, IN, IA, MA, ME, MN, MS, MO, MT, NV, NH, NJ, NM, NY, NC, OH, OR, PA, RI, TX, UT, VT, WI, and WY; and online.

September 16th, 2025:
Sprout Organics has initiated a voluntary recall of one lot of Sprout Organics® Sweet Potato Apple and Spinach because it may contain elevated levels of lead. The product, a 3.5-ounce pouch, was sold in Walgreens and some independent stores in the US South region with most sales occurring between September and December 2024. The product was not sold in any other large grocery chain besides Walgreens.
