Stemmelen, has issued a recall for its Strasbourg cocktail sausages due to a potential Listeria contamination. The product was distributed across France in various outlets including U, Leclerc, Grand Frais, Boucherie André, and New Fruits.The recalled product is the Stemmelen brand Strasbourg cocktail sausages, packaged in 300g vacuum-sealed bags. The product carries the UPC 3291510000988 and batch number 3245181714. The best before date on the recalled product is February 24, 2024.
The issue was discovered due to suspicion of the presence of Listeria monocytogenes, a bacterium that can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems.
