Recall details: Cahill’s Farm Cheese is recalling a number of cheese products because Listeria monocytogenes has been found in the product. The product recall information notice, (PRIN) has been updated to include additional products and batches and replaces the original PRIN.

- Cahill's Original Irish Porter Cheddar
Product code: CH1139, 490832, and CH1458
Pack size: All pack types and sizes

- Cahill’s Irish Whiskey Cheese
Product code: CH1142 and CH1459
Pack size: All pack types and sizes

- Cahill’s Ardagh Wine Cheese
Product code: CH1140 and CH1460
Pack size: All pack types and sizes

If you have bought any of the above products do not eat them. Instead, return them to the store from where they were bought for a full refund.

Symptoms caused by this organism can be similar to flu and include high temperature, muscle ache or pain, chills, feeling or being sick, and diarrhea. However, in rare cases, the infection can be more severe, causing serious complications, such as meningitis.

Some people are more vulnerable to listeria infections, including those over 65 years of age, pregnant women and their unborn babies, babies less than one-month-old and people with weakened immune systems.
