The CFIA announced the recall of Dufflet brand Plant-based Cakes and Cupcakes by Dufflet Pastries because they may contain egg which is not declared on the label. This is an update of the recall issued on July 2, to include additional product information. There have been no reported reactions associated with the consumption of these products.The recalled products are:
- Dufflet Plant-based Chocolate Cake (550 g), UPC: 6 24122 00700 8, all codes where egg is not declared on the label.
- Dufflet Plant-based Vanilla Cake (610 g), UPC: 6 24122 00701 5, all codes where egg is not declared on the label.
- Dufflet Plant-based Chocolate Cupcakes (350 g), UPC: 6 24122 00702 2, all codes where egg is not declared on the label.
- Dufflet Plant-based Vanilla Cupcakes (260 g), UPC: 6 24122 00703 9, all codes where egg is not declared on the label.
These products were distributed nationwide in Canada. If you have an allergy to eggs do not eat them, they may cause a serious or life-threatening reaction. Please throw them away or returned them to the place of purchase.
