10 months ago source fsis.usda.gov

United States

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) has issued a public health alert for a ready-to-eat white chicken chili imported from Canada. The product did not undergo import reinspection, prompting the alert. The product is no longer available for purchase. It was shipped to select Costco stores in Idaho, Oregon, and Washington. The issue was discovered by FSIS inspection personnel who found that the chicken chili product was not presented for FSIS import reinspection.

The product in question is:
- The "Allen FAMILY FOODS WHITE CHICKEN CHILI with Bell Peppers, Corn & White Beans"
- Packaged in 7 lbs. 2 oz. cartons containing eight, 14.3-oz. plastic tubs.
- The lot codes are E225077, E225079, E225080, E225081, E225083
- The best before by dates are 03/18/2026, 03/20/2026, 03/21/2026, 3/22/2026, and 03/24/2026.
- The product bears the Canadian establishment seal “7011.”

Consumers are advised not to consume the product and to return it to where they purchased it.

If you or a loved one are harmed or experiencing any symptoms, it is important to report it. Reporting can help to detect & resolve outbreaks early and prevent others from being harmed, and it enables better surveillance. If symptoms persist, seek medical care.
