The FSIS announced that approximately 172,692 pounds of frozen chicken fried rice products were recalled by Ajinomoto Foods North America, Inc., because of the potential to be contaminated with pieces of plastic. No injuries have been reported to date.FSIS advises consumers not to consume these products but to throw these products away or return to the place of purchase. The recalled products bear establishment number “P-34708” inside the USDA mark of inspection and were distributed in FL, GA, IL, MD, MI, NJ, and TX.
- Ajinomoto Yakitori Chicken with Japanese-Style Fried Rice (54-oz. cardboard package) with date codes: 3559007, 3559008, 3559015, 3559190, and 3559191. Best-by dates: 1/7/2020, 1/8/2020, 1/15/2020, 7/9/2020 and 7/10/2020.
