FDA announced the recall of 7,218,700 lbs of Processed Cheese Pasteurized products by Great Lakes Cheese, Inc. due to mislabeling. These products have labels that do not clearly specify the refrigeration requirements. Even though all the products need refrigeration, some labels are missing or unclear about the refrigeration instructions. This mislabeling could lead to customers not storing the products under refrigeration as required for safety, since the labels provide inconsistent or unclear guidance. The products were distributed in AL, AZ, CA, CO, CT, FL, GA, IL, IN, KS, KY, LA, MD, ME, MI, MN, MO, NC, ND, NE, NM, NY, OH, OR, PA, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA, WA, WI.
