We bought a fruit basket that contained a cantaloup from a local organisation. That's was on October 25th. We served it to our 20 month old son, he loved it and ate the entire thing in two days. That same weekend he started to experience intermitent fever, and halloween the diahrea started. Two days after there was blood in his stool. After a call to 811 (health line) we went straight to the emergency. There we waited 10 hours and he kept getting worse. He were on intravenous treatment for 10 days. Followed by 10 days of oral mega doses (8ml/3 times a day) for an additional 10 days. It was a hard time, and he still has so post traumatic reactions (doesn't like to be touched where the catheter was), and his digestion is not back to it's former state. We are simple thankful that it was caught in time. The fever started J'ai acheté un panier de fruit en date du 25 octobre. Celui ci contenait un cantaloup. Nous l'avons coupé et servi à notre fils de 20 mois, il l'a mangé sur deux jours. Il a commencer à avoir de la fièvre intermintente deux jours après, ensuite est apparu la diahree. Au début il semblait garder le moral mais ensuite il y a eu du sang dans ses selles. A partir de ce moment nous avons été à l'hôpital et pendant 1 semaine I a dû être sous traitement intraveineux. La baterie etait rendu dans son sang, il etait en septicémie. Une fois ceux ci terminé, il s'est vu prescrire une mega dose d'antibiotique (8ml 3 fois par jour) pendant 10 jours supplémentaire. Il etait complètement traumatisé, nous aussi. Sa flore intestinale ne s'est pas tout à fait remis, et il a encore quelques réactions post traumatique.
