The Contra Costa County Health Services Department shuttered the shop Tuesday after inspectors found living and dead cockroaches near food preparation areas. They also found bug droppings.

The inspection that ended with the closure happened Monday; a report filed showed at least seven live cockroaches on a gasket to a one-door refrigerator, another on top of some soybean oil near a food preparation sink, one between a wall and a shelf, and one inside a cockroach egg case. Inspectors also found eight dead cockroaches and that they were in various stages of development.
