Pizza Causes IBS Flare-Up - 7-Eleven, Norfolk Virginia

8 years ago reported by user-zttp6479 business

7-11 East Little Creek Road, Norfolk, VA, United States

800 East Little Creek Road, Norfolk, 23518 Virginia, United States

There are multiple locations on East Little Creek Rd so I'm not sure if I have the correct store. It's the one by Sunrise Cycles. A friend of mine brought me a whole 7-11 pepperoni pizza at work. It was freshly made. I ate two slices then put the rest in the fridge and left it there for two days because I didn't want to walk home with a big pizza box. About 4 hours later, as I was walking home, my stomach began cramping. I ran the rest of the way and straight to the bathroom when I got home. I have IBS so I assumed that was the problem at first, although I thought it was odd for me to get an IBS attack so long after eating. Usually my IBS comes on 10 minutes to 2 hours after eating. After several trips to the bathroom and feeling like I was going to vomit, I managed to take a nap. I woke up with stomach spasms and more intense cramping than I had earlier and back to the bathroom I went. Still sick the following day. I thought I was going to have to call out of work. On the third day, I was finally feeling better and able to eat with no problems. I brought the pizza home that night. Day 4: I'm fine. But my husband ate the pizza last night and now today he's sick with the same symptoms. No one else has been sick. Not my kids, not my coworkers, my other friend who came for a visit during this is fine. We're the only ones who got sick and also were the only ones who ate the pizza. | Symptoms: Diarrhea, Fever, Nausea, Cramps
