Sept 28th 2019 Macaroni salad that was on sale for 95 cents. Ate a few bites about 6:30 PM, it was very tasty, no sign at all that something was wrong. About 8:30 PM, severe vomiting that was finally just wretching, and diarrhea that was just mass volumes of water that I could not control started. This continued to get worse to the point where I could not stand without falling from weakness and dizziness. I became fearful that I might actually die and called an ambulance Oct 1st in the AM. My blood pressure wouldn't register at all. Was hospitalized 5 days, infection with Salmonella was discovered. Day after I got home, had to call ambulance again, legs hugely swollen and severe shortness of breath. This was 2 more days in hospital, had pulmonary embolism due to body stressed from Salmonella infection. Will be on anticoagulant therapy for about 6 months. All this from contaminated macaroni salad. | Symptoms: Diarrhea, Fever, Nausea, Vomiting, Weakness, Dizziness, Shortness of Breath
