Guacamole Causes Stomach Pain - Aldi, Raleigh North Carolina

I bought their fresh chunky guacamole yesterday (5/3/2024) - and had about 1/4 cup with other food for lunch.

It was labeled as ‘best if used by July 4 2024’. The numbers under that are 4096 C05.

After four hours later, my stomach began to hurt quite a bit (not to the level of urgent care) and I felt like I really needed to have diarrhea. I was unable to for a couple hours - which was miserable.

I had diarrhea off & on all evening. I took a few tablets of Pepto-Bismol, which is probably why it wasn’t worse. I was awakened a few times during the night by my stomach. Diarrhea persisted through this morning. Now just loose stool, and my stomach is uncomfortable, not painful.

I took the container back to the store, reported the incident to the manager and got a refund. Also left a voicemail for my state’s FDA incident coordinator. | Symptoms: Diarrhea, Stomach Pain
