Veggie Patty Illness Alert - Aldi, Knoxville Tennessee

6 years ago reported by user-drbn2452 business

ALDI, Kingston Pike, Knoxville, TN, USA

5220 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, 37919 Tennessee, United States

I purchased beyond patties before and was fine. Recently I purchased two packages (4 patties total/two to a pack) and cooked and served to family and myself. All cooked the same but the difference was that my patty was from another two pack than my family. I started feeling very strange after eating the burger and it progressively worsened. The other two in my family were fine so I thought mine must have been out of date but it was dated same as the other pack. I ended up with a horrible fever, extreme nausea, and diarrhea all through the night. It was absolutely terrible. I felt weird the next few days and now when I catch a glance or even whiff of a beyond burger I instantly get sick to my stomach. Keep in mind that I use to love this burger so much and hate that this experience ruined it for me. I have also been vegetarian for 8 years now so I am all for plant based diets. But this burger needs to be checked on. I purchased and consumed these on October 8th and they had an expectation date of I think October 12th. They have these burgers in refrigeration and not freezer. Maybe they aren’t meant to be refrigerated for more than a day? Idk but I have never been so sick in my life. | Symptoms: Diarrhea, Fever, Nausea, Vomiting
