We are a group of 13 people currently staying at the hotel - August 7, 2019. 4 adults had either diarrhea or nausea or both. My son had the worst case with severe vomiting nonstop for about 6 hours. We ended up in a hospitals for almost 2 days. He was diagnosed with bacterial infection. We were cautious not to drink the tap water but it didn’t help. | Symptoms: Diarrhea, Nausea, Vomiting

The problem with the Dominican Republic, there is an extreme lack of hot water or hot water heaters. So proper sanitization that is needed to kill the viruses are not available.
