Ben & Jerry's Half baked Ice Cream, Lund, Sweden

Lund, Skåne County, Sweden

I bought 2 pints of Ben and Jerry’s half-baked (cookie dough and brownies mix). The first pint I ate, I got sick and got diarrhea an hour after eating it. I thought nothing of it and wrote it off as eating something terrible. However, I just had another pint of the same flavor and got sick, throwing up diarrhea and nausea. My fiancé also ate a few bites and had the same reaction I did. They were bought at two different grocery stores near me. | Symptoms: Diarrhea, Nausea, Vomiting

Recent Interesting Reports

I went with my family to here (Stanley Green Retail Park, Earl Road, Cheadle Hume, Cheadle) on 29th April 2023 for lunch. Myself and my brother both ate chicken. I ate a chicken and bacon toastie and my brother ate a pizza wrap. On Sunday 30th April... See More 2023 my brother was awake during the night being violently sick and unwell with bad diarrhoea. He was in bed for 2 days and although his symptoms have now stopped, he is only just getting his appetite back after 5 days. Then on Sunday night I started with a headache and then Monday I was being violently sick along with diarrhoea. My symptoms were even worse than my brothers, as I am Type 1 Diabetic and on insulin. I had to call 111 for advice as my blood sugars were low and I couldn't treat it because I kept vomiting. They advised me to go to A&E which I did. I had to go on two drips. I had ketones which are basically poisons in my body from being so poorly with my Diabetes. I only came home on Wednesday and although my symptoms have subsided, I still have stomach cramps and loss of appetite. 3 doctors at the hospital confirmed it was food poisoning. The doctors all asked what I had eaten and I told them I had a chicken and bacon toastie and they asked when I had it. They said it was definitely the chicken in the toastie, as it worked out right with the date I ate it at there | Symptoms: Nausea, Diarrhea, Vomiting, Cramps, Headache, Loss of Appetite, Other See Less

Time and date: 7:20pm on 5/31/23

Food: Large Baja Blast, Fiesta Veggie Burrito, veggie Mexican Pizza, and Cinnabon Delights.

Symptoms: nausea, stomach cramps, fever like chills, mild heartburn and regurgitation.

What happened: Ate here for the first time in ages. I find their plant-based options bland and... See More I wasn't willing to spend extra on guacamole. So I opted for ordering items with some cheese/ sour cream. I avoid dairy normally, and I don't have lactose intolerance, so I thought my stomach could handle it alright. Everything tasted fine, nothing odd.

1-2 hours later I began to feel ill/off which quickly turned to nausea. I went to lie down for bed and the nausea was quickly intensifying. My forehead was covered in sweat, despite having chills.
My stomach began to cramp too at this point. Having experienced food poisoning before, I knew my body was on the brink of vomiting and definitely would if I got up to use the bathroom.
Despite better judgment, I fought to keep my food down (I was tired and just wanted to sleep; I also have a deep fear of vomiting). I did end up falling asleep but woke up around 3:30am with heartburn bothering my esophagus. I sat upright, coughed lightly, and had a moment of regurgitation.
My stomach still ached but it was far less than before. I was up another 2-3 hours, during which I drank almost 2 bottled waters.
Fell back asleep for a few hours. When I woke my stomach walls felt a bit sensitive but otherwise I felt okay. Ate some corn cereal with oatmilk and felt fine (same thing and only food I had the day before other than the taco bell). It's evening now and I still feel fine despite not vomiting or having bowel issues.

Not entirely sure what happened but I thought it best to report in case other people got sick, too. | Symptoms: Nausea, Fever, Vomiting, Cramps, Chills, Cough, Heartburn, Sweating, Stomach Pain

The Missoula City-County Health Department is warning residents of the dangers of consuming unpasteurized, or “raw" milk, following the potential exposure to bacteria from unpasteurized milk sold at a farmers market in Missoula County. Milk that was recently sold at a local farmers market came from a... See More herd where two cows tested positive for Coxiella burnetii, which is the bacteria that causes Q fever. While one of those cows had not yet produced milk, the other produced about 10% of the farmer’s yield.

The Environmental Health Director Shannon Therriault said they don’t know if the cow was shedding the bacteria at the time it was milked, or if that cow’s milk was sold at the farmers market, so they can’t say for sure whether anyone was exposed. However, what they do know is that unpasteurized milk can contain harmful bacteria that can make you and your loved ones sick.

Unpasteurized milk products have been linked to outbreaks of E. coli, campylobacter, salmonella, brucella, listeria, and cryptosporidium. In the case of Q fever, symptoms can take two or three weeks to present following exposure. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, symptoms of Q fever include fever, chills, fatigue, headache, muscle aches, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, chest pain, stomach pain, weight loss, and a non-productive cough.

If you are experiencing symptoms after consuming unpasteurized milk sold at a farmers market in Missoula County it is important to report it. It can help to detect & resolve outbreaks early and prevent others from being harmed, and it enables better surveillance. If symptoms persist seek medical attention.
