Wings: White Spots, Norovirus - Buffalo wild wings, Arden North Carolina

9 months ago reported by user-mkfg4245 business

Buffalo Wild Wings, Airport Rd, Arden, NC, USA

421 Airport Road, Arden, 28704 North Carolina, United States

We ordered from here on valentines day through uber eats. My girlfriend ate one, and then she noticed that it had an odd aftertaste. We opened the second box of wings and they had very strange white spots all over. I have never seen anything like that on fried food before. I used to manage restaurants, so i took temperatures (thanks servsafe!) and eberything was in the danger zone, nothing surpassed 70 degrees Farenheit. From the time the order was done to the time it was delivered, an hour and a half had passed, but this seemed like a problem was in the chicken before cooking began. We tossed everything immediately after (but I did take a picture so I could report it), and then a day later my girlfriend has vomiting and diarrhea and her physician thinks she has norovirus. Oddly enough, uber eats seems to give zero f***s about food safety issues. Their customer service team keeps giving vague answers, almost like they just copy and paste a scripted response regardless of the context of the questions. They were of absolutely no help, so I've reported this to the bbb, uber eats help sites, called the bw3s (we were disconnected while they were "getting the manager"), and the health department is next. This can't be allowed to happen. If we had eaten in the restaurant and experienced this, they should have immediately halted service and looked into the chicken storage. I hope this message helps prevent someone else from getting sick. | Symptoms: Nausea, Diarrhea, Vomiting
