Acute Colitis from Chicken - Chick-Fil-A, Medford Oregon

3 years ago reported by user-vqcmm844 business

Chick-fil-A, Rossanley Drive, Medford, OR, USA

10 Rossanley Drive, Medford, 97501 Oregon, United States

Friday evening, July 22, 2022, I ate a Spicy Chicken Filet and Salad from here. My husband ate something else and did not get sick. He ate my salad, so the chicken was the culprit. Within a few hours my heart was pounding, with a severe headache and severe abdominal cramps. I then had bloody diarrhea and heavy sweating. When I tried to get my husband, I blacked out and collapsed to the floor, unconscious for several seconds. When I awoke, I was paralyzed and could not speak. Then my speech was slurred. I couldn't get up, and my husband couldn't get me up. I laid on the floor until, I was able to get to my feet. I was sick all night, and had chills. I went to the ED and Food Poisoning was confirmed. The bleeding lasted for three days! My labs confirmed food poisoning, and a CT Scan, confirmed Acute Colitis. I am taking an antibiotic. Six days later, I am feeling better, but not 100%. My appetite has not fully returned. I thought that I was dying! I will never eat there again! | Symptoms: Diarrhea, Cramps, Bloody Stool, Headache, Sweating
