Additional information: I had Cinnamon Toast Crunch on Sunday April 2nd and had bad cramping/gas pains.
Ate it yesterday April 4th and now have diarrhea today. Don't know for sure but, it's the only different food I ate recently and haven't been around sick people. | Symptoms: Diarrhea, Cramps, Gas

Hi, thanks for your comment. TIP: Cinnamon Toast Crunch, like other packaged cereals, could be the source of food poisoning. In 2013, Cinnamon Toast Crunch was recalled due to Salmonella contamination. Salmonella infections are often characterized by stomach cramps and diarrhea 12-72 hours after consuming the contaminated cereal.

Hello there! we appreciate your input. Our main point was to highlight that it's possible to get food poisoning from cereals. Starting in late 2021, Lucky Charms food poisoning reports started to trend on our site and we got around 7,300 persons citing they got sick from it. A similar situation was related to Cheerios cereal in 2022. Even the FDA initiated an investigation into General Mills which is the maker of those cereals including Cinnamon Toast Crunch.
