Impossible Burger Odor Issue - Costco, Roseburg Oregon

4 years ago reported by user-yzyg7142 business

Costco Wholesale, Northeast Stephens Street, Roseburg, OR, USA

4141 Northeast Stephens Street, Roseburg, 97470 Oregon, United States

I bought the Impossible Burger at this place - ate two - and I had severe stomach cramps, nausea, and the smell of the burger oozed out of my pores, even after showering, I can still smell it in my skin two days later. The smell, of course transferred to my sheets, I have never experienced anything like this before. The worst symptom was the nausea, stomach cramps and feeling tired/wiped out.

I looked on the internet for complaints about this product and found a reference to: soy leghemoglobin which Food Safety News claims was never thoroughly reviewed by the FDA.
I ate this product on Sunday 09/12/21 and on Wednesday 09.15.21 I still have a stomach cramps and nausea and the smell is still oozing out of my pores.

I was just reading Food Safety News and would like to add this comment about the FDA:
I once approached the FDA because I had found 4 products in a month all labeled Gluten Free that all contained barley. When I called the FDA at 3:30pm to express my concern they got back to me the next morning at 9:30am stating: We contacted the manufacturer. They didn't get back to us, so there is nothing we can do.
Those concerned about food safety might want to look up the FDA and their relationship with Monsanto - something about a revolving door. That might explain their "response" or lack thereof. For those who don't know, Monsanto has miles of green houses full of genetically modified plants they are creating in addition to the Roundup they are famous for (although they sold it in 2018 to Bayer), the DDT they are noted for, their relationship with Coca-Cola...the list goes on. Read about How Monsanto has taken control of our food on the internet. | Symptoms: Nausea, Cramps
