Chicken Bites Trigger Illness - Dave's Hot Chicken, New York

11 months ago reported by user-hhzz1442 business

Dave's Hot Chicken, 188th Street, Fresh Meadows, NY, USA

61-45 188th Street, 11365 New York, United States

I went here exactly a week ago and was fine. However, on 3/15/25, I had the 10 pc chicken bites again (mild). As I was eating, I felt discomfort in my stomach, but thought nothing of it and expected it to go away. However, a few minutes later I experienced dizziness and began to feel faint. I went outside the restaurant to get fresh air, when I
suddenly started feeling extremely nauseated and threw up 3 times consecutively. It was all chicken. I immediately felt better afterwards, but wtf was that? It's really unfortunate since it's a newly opened restaurant in the area and this is what I got from it. I don't not return to places where the food made me sick. | Symptoms: Nausea, Vomiting, Stomach Pain, Cramps, Dizziness

this is way too fast to be poison.. you would have to digest the food in order for it to poison you which is why it takes some time after eating to set it- sometimes hours sometimes days.. i hope you feel better but don't be afraid to eat there again!! i eat there all the time and im a nurse i promise you it wasn't the food 🙏🏻

Hi, thanks for sharing your perspective! While some foodborne illnesses take hours or days to appear, others—like certain toxins or allergens—can cause symptoms within minutes. Everyone reacts differently, so it’s important to consider all possibilities. We appreciate your input!
