Milk Illness: Diarrhea, Vomiting - Kroger, Hilliard Ohio

1 year ago reported by user-qpnf8239 business

Fairlife milk, Kroger, Hilliard Rome Road, Hilliard, OH, USA

2525 Hilliard Rome Road, Hilliard, 43026 Ohio, United States

I purchased Fairlife whole milk on January 30th, best by March 2nd, and opened it February 7th. Batch number 26-207. I used it for mac and cheese on Wednesday and that didn't seem to cause any issues? I had a glass of milk with chocolate chip cookies last night around 2am. My boyfriend passed on the milk, and that was the only difference in our diets yesterday. I woke up this morning around 9am, sweating with severe and constant diarrhea. I felt so hot I laid on the floor and then threw up all over myself. I've felt achy and nauseous all day. No fever. | Symptoms: Nausea, Diarrhea, Vomiting, Sweating

The safest way is always to follow the use-by-date (which is also known as expiration date) when you buy highly perishable foods such as pasteurized milk, yogurt, etc which is usually two weeks (at maximum) from the date of production while the product is still kept refrigerated at 4C or below until is consumed too.

She used it over a month BEFORE the expiration date. Read!

I also clearly wrote down in my reply that perishable foods such as milk, yogurt must be kept refrigerated. That means if you buy a pasteurized milk container and leave in your car's trunk (or on your kitchen counter at room temperature) for more than two hours while shopping or running errands, that milk will go off (regardless of its expiration date) by the time you are home and you will have to throw it out.
