I purchased a ginger shot and noticed that the bottle did not have a safety seal on the cap. I assumed this was due to it being produced by a local company (Village Juicery) and thought maybe they didn’t use sealed caps. The shot tasted terrible but the only ingredient was ginger. I’m used to shots that have things like lemon and apple mixed in so I don’t know of the taste was normal for a pure ginger shot. Anyhow I had terrible diarrhea for a week with some mild nausea. I can’t say for sure it was from the shot but I went through everything else I ate that day and it seems to be the most likely source. I found out on the juice company’s website later that they do normally seal their caps so I suspect it had been opened and had maybe gone bad. Don’t drink anything without a seal! | Symptoms: Diarrhea, Nausea
