Plastic in Berry Smoothies - Food Lion, Richfield North Carolina

3 years ago reported by user-gxbnw451 business

My boyfriend went to buy frozen fruit for a smoothie. It was the berry mix fruit medley blend if that matters. He comes home we open the bag with a knife and dump the contents into a clean blender. I cleaned the blender right before the fruit was poured into it, after we poured our finished smoothies I noticed a hard sharp chunk in my throat as I was swallowing the smoothie. I choked it back up and turns out it was a piece of black plastic. We poured our smoothies out and had about 10 pieces of black broken plastic. I’m not too sure what to do next about this situation but the manager from there said I could get a refund only if I was able to present a receipt or I could get store credit. I found that pretty careless and ignorant but what do you do, you know? | Symptoms: Stomach Pain

There should be an 800 number on the back of the bag, call that. This is a quality control issue. Looks like a part from the bagging facility may have broken into the bag you bought.
