11 Ill After Hotel Stay - Hard rock cafe, Punta Cana La Altagracia

My husband, son and I traveled to the Hard Rock resort in Punta Cana (May 27 - 31, 2019) with for what was supposed to be a fun trip celebrating our son's graduation. We had a total of 15 in our group (10 adults and 5 high school graduates). Out of the 15, ELEVEN of us got violently ill. Some had diarrhea and chills, others had vomiting, diarrhea and chills, and others had nausea. We became scared to drink anything that wasn't from a sealed bottle. Some were so ill they could not leave their room for 36 hours! By the last day not many of us were even able to eat due to illness -- and FEAR for our safety, and we were thankful that we could all make it to the airport to fly home!Something that concerned us while we were there is that a worker came in our rooms to spray for mosquitos...while some of us were IN OUR ROOMS.
Here is a list of the main restaurants we ate at while on the property: Isla, Ipanema, Los Gallos and Toro. We also visited the Moon Lounge.
Needless to say, we will NEVER return to Punta Cana for a vacation, and we URGE/WARN anyone planning to go there to reconsider their plans!! | Symptoms: Diarrhea, Fever, Nausea, Vomiting, Chills
