Snorkeling Illness at Resort - Hard rock cafe, Punta Cana La Altagracia

It was about four years ago we stayed here. I had spent the day snorkeling and when we returned to the hotel I went to sleep around 11 pm. By 1 am I was sweating uncontrollably and in and out of a sleep. My wife said I moaned all night. My chills were unbearable. At five am my wife asked if we should call for help. I told her let me sleep a little more. By 9 am I felt like a milliondollars. I chalked it up to maybe swallowing salt water. But now I am hearing people who have had the same exact experice it made the hair on my arms stand up. It is terrible that this fine resort has been having these issues. I hope my experience can in some way help figure out what is going on. To add I did not use the mini bar but did attend a party thrown for our company which had drinks available at the event. | Symptoms: Fever, Chills, Sweating
