Campylobacter Outbreak at Resort - Hotel, Riviera Maya Quintana Roo

24 hours after arriving at the hotel, I sh*t my pants running for the bathroom. Did not eat or drink anything between the airport and hotel. Next day had violent diarrhea, ended up sh**ting the bed in my sleep. Sick for the entire duration of my stay. After returning to the states, I got tested and was positive for campylobacter jejuni. Started a three day course of antibiotics. Still have diarrhea today, which is 13 days after I first had symptoms. Was at an event, it’s reported that 60-70% (estimated based on an online poll) also got very sick. | Symptoms: Nausea, Diarrhea, Stomach Pain, Cramps
